    J Dilla R.I.P. /(,0_o,)\

Truly a great loss... it shook me, as I've been listening to Donuts on repeat since tuesday. I'm also remembering how 'Get Dis Money' really got me through when I got laid off and had no money. RIP Dilla Dawg.

    Record Boxes?

I have been looking for this kind of thing too. Milk crates these days are too small for records, and the ones at Crate & Barrel are not stackable. A frustrating online search only lead me to this: http://www.musicesp.com/sef_pages/62240BLK_CRATE_BLACK_RECORD_CRATE_BLACK.htm which is exactly...

We, the Brüt Force Family, invite you to listen to our take on the UK. Broadcasting from Chicago USA, me and Sushi will bring you everything from classic 2-step all the way to fresh cut grimey dubs. I'm sure we'll throw some hip hop acapellas in there along the way. And we have been known to...

    Great 2 Step?

not sure how obscure, but the whole Gush Collective discography is classic. Personal favorites are Adam K - Selecta and Nordstadt Union - The Drums.

Audio: WWWHUT!? Nov 05-Logan, Jammer, Riko, Skepta, Ears

That's what I'm talking about! The recording quality and energy of the performance reminds me of the Slimzee/PAUG sets from 2002-2003 that really got me into grime.

50cent - Official Lapdog of the Right

50 Cent is apolitical. All about money, make no bones about it. He was just worried that Kanye's comments may have cost him record sales. So he's supporting the federal government's story for a minute. (Too bad the FEMA director's emails were just released, showing a different story.) But I...

    The GAY rapper/HIPHOP question

Kanye West addresses this issue in that "All Eyes On..." interview with Sway (of MTV, not the UK MC). He talked about being picked on for being a momma's boy, how homophobia is embedded in rap lyrics, and how he even questioned his own motives and sexuality. Needless to say the forum on...

Da Crunked Up Southern Rap thread

BIA BIA!!!!!!!! I think Lil Jon is kind of a one trick pony, but the trick is still hot. See "Presidential" by Youngbloodz. And right now I'm really feelin Three 6 Mafia's "Stay Fly Remix"... Its got Trick Daddy, Slim Thug, and Project Pat on it, plus that hook is genius...

seriously where are you guys getting ur grime?

holy crap, I don't even want to think about how much money I spend on 12's every month. Probably about $100 or more this month with so much good stuff coming out. I do wish there were more proper mix CDs, but I am fairly satiated with the mp3 radio sets from all these blogs.
