the reason I said '95 was because the Clubbed To Death remix came out in 1995: https://www.discogs.com/Rob-Dougan-Clubbed-To-Death-2/release/21618 here's one from '96 that you might not have heard that was also on Mo'Wax and is pretty tearing as well:

hard to see how anyone into jungle wouldn't like this Peshay tune from '95

Hmm, I guess it depends if you like the techstep stuff or not. I really liked 'The Nocturnal' on Platinum Breakz, his remix of 'Jah' on Razor's Edge, the 'Angel' remix, the 'On The War Path' / 'Latin Jungle' release on Street Beats, his stuff as Secrets (also on Street Beats), as well as 'On The...

I disagree that it should be terrible - what was wrong with Peshay's output in 95/96? He did some great tunes then.

a rare example of new skool jungle/dnb with obvious grime influences. as I mentioned in the techno thread:

totally agree with you here, this is one of those things I find a little perplexing about much (but not all!) jungle revivalism - it basically ignores the subsequent 25 years of musical history. why the same old vocal samples, for example? I don't think I've ever heard one of these jungle...

I agree - I don't mind a techno stasis! (and 'The dream of the 90's is alive in Kreuzberg' is a fantastic post title). I'm in my late 30's, so I'm now at the point where I am quite content to listen to the music of my youth; it's just amusing to me that so many actual youths are happy to listen...

Apparently parts of the Kemet/3rd party back catalogue are going to be repressed: if that doesn't work (not sure if that's a public or private group), then here's the screenshot:

great piece - totally agree that techno is stuck in a form of stasis. I actually played at Griessmuehle a few month ago and played a mix of new and old stuff, and the reaction was, if anything, better for the old stuff

ah, I guess I should have pulled it out and listened to it before commenting! ;) it's been a while since I listened to it

it's great fun but it's not really an album in the classical sense, it's just a bunch of rave bangers.

Agreed - the black vinyl version of Timeless is just fantastic. I actually like 'You and Me' from time to time, although it's far from the album standout
