I disagree that it should be terrible - what was wrong with Peshay's output in 95/96? He did some great tunes then.

totally agree with you here, this is one of those things I find a little perplexing about much (but not all!) jungle revivalism - it basically ignores the subsequent 25 years of musical history. why the same old vocal samples, for example? I don't think I've ever heard one of these jungle...

I agree - I don't mind a techno stasis! (and 'The dream of the 90's is alive in Kreuzberg' is a fantastic post title). I'm in my late 30's, so I'm now at the point where I am quite content to listen to the music of my youth; it's just amusing to me that so many actual youths are happy to listen...

great piece - totally agree that techno is stuck in a form of stasis. I actually played at Griessmuehle a few month ago and played a mix of new and old stuff, and the reaction was, if anything, better for the old stuff

it's great fun but it's not really an album in the classical sense, it's just a bunch of rave bangers.

Agreed - the black vinyl version of Timeless is just fantastic. I actually like 'You and Me' from time to time, although it's far from the album standout
