Dubstep

its an awful video, a shit concept badly executed. decent examples of music/sound-inspired visual abstraction. <embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"...

    Goldie returnz...

i'm not really in the loop when comes to dnb i tend to avoid it if possible as ive seen and heard enough for two lifetimes. saw goldie last year though playing on valve, his tune selections fairly sturdy, and his essential mix (last year) was excellent. general consensus is his mixing ain't up...

    the nuum back lash

kind of reminds me of how sometimes marxism is used as a 'intellectual' calling card. when its irrelevant to what its being applied to.

    New Jungle Tekno

nice idea, only really liked 'living in the basement' though, its true the tools used to make old hardcore where limited, poor pitch shifting and time-stretching facilities, low bit rate and limited sample memory, the old atari, akai, a midi keyboard and a pair of hifi speakers seemed to be...

K and the inter-'nuum transition point

never associated dubstep with drugs or even heard them mentioned until a few months ago. the tempo of the music combined with the roots sound system legacy always seemed to suggest they didn't jell, apart from the odd waft of herb of course (sorely missed incense since the smoking ban) older...

K and the inter-'nuum transition point

feeling fairly ambivalent towards dubstep myself recently but I have to disagree, with the way blackdown seems to imply that we should embrace funky because it could have the potential to be good, because it shares a similar root structure to earlier forms of dance music. shouldn't the question...
