apparently they recorded the vocals before they'd ever heard the beats -- EL-P might have shaped the beats from the rhymes -- kind of amazing. this seemed a bit contrived to me -- does the album gel or does it have more of a compilation feel? -

i really like this. more insistent (perhaps less mental) than the first mix and better shifts between bpms. hey jess -- i think you're referring to the Graphic remix of Ezekiel Honig's "Love Sessions"? that's the one with the glitches and clicks and keys (also on Clever's new mix IIRC). the swimmy meandering one after it ("Connect Four") is the b-side from the first Offshore 12". mmm...... -

when exactly did Jammer and DEE take the stage? i got there at 1 and they seemed well into it. i thought DEE was off the hook and was sad to see him leave the mic for the decks. the vibe was SERIOUS. like a thugged-out bashment with darker rave undercurrents (on stage anyway). low-end expanding... -
