Sites as Desktop Web Apps - Prism

Just discovered this program and it's rather nifty i have to say. Let's you run things like gmail and facebook, or whatver site you like as desktop based apps. Really useful. Stops you browsing with like 5 pages open before you even go anywhere else. http://prism.mozilla.com/

    nostalgia in uk street music

surely relevancy is the key here. if something's relevant is it nostalgia? if something's a sick track is it nostalgic to include because it's old(er)? i mean this is dance music and - not to mention the nuum - there has been a constant feedback loop which i don't think you can equate to...

    nostalgia in uk street music

putting music into new contexts can be incredibly exciting. it's often a dj device as well mixing something familiar with the freshness. everyone involved in music loves music. so what do you do - abandon what you love to push things forward at the expense of what got you there in the first...

    Funky/London/UK House

i have to say i find this all very compelling. funk vs funkiness. surely the raw funk that uk funky lacks, it makes it up in groove and rawness? which is still something that is essentially 'funk' in its essence? it is very hard to draw boundaries, no? these days something can be funky but...

    Funky/London/UK House

Quite decent in some spots around the floor but the space is quite cavernous so it does sound quite weak in places as well. My main issue last time was with the mix of the bongos. Bit too much with real bongos layered over the track’s bongos with added MC.

and serrato. never seen a dubplate. i don't think it really feeds into quality control too much. i believe that's something can exist regardless of format

i'm anticipating 28 individual tracks rather than something you have to buy all together although i guess the word pack does imply otherwise :S

28 track Bumper Pack being released on ukfunky.com next monday. Should hopefully contain a few gems. I'm holding out for Mr Roach's total confusion which i was told would appear on the site at some point.
