    High quality vinyl shelves

do not under any circumstance buy anything from djdeckstands.com. I did and it was a complete disaster, I had to fight to get my money back. Instead I got something from an ebay shop called Prodecksuk, made to measure. May have something to suit you.

give washing machine or nyc g&c over daydream nation anyday. For me that record never fulfills on the energetic promise of teenage riot.

    Vampire *fucking* Weekend

they're utterly flaccid. shouldn't a high life influenced indie-rock/pop band at least be a bit more rhythmically propulsive than this? i hate this shit!

Hands up if you don't 'get' Led Zep?

i saw Page and Plant in some iffy early/mid 90s colab when i was 12/13.. even then and to my innocent ears it didn't quite cut it... Plant's voice must be completely shot, I mean, it was by the mid 70s wasn't it? I never really got sabbath, give me a ruined Plant over Ozzy any day. Always...

    Burial "Untrue"

i really got this feeling from the new record as well. Your point about the genius of Archangel's lyrical ambiguity is OTM. he manages to turn this spliced, repitched voice into a character of incredible emotional depth and nuance. its totally compelling. and fucking brilliant pop: the kind that...

    Burial "Untrue"

I've spent 24 hours with this thing.. Some incredible moments. untrue.. Archangel is such a great pop tune. the retuned/edited vocal has a great balance of UKG/r n'b lyrical cliche and ambiguity ..the way the words get edited into half formed phrases.. theres an aggression to those edits too...

    Grime as therapy

im totally with you on this. the no nonsense call to motivation in this tune has been really helpful to me... couldnt have been a better remedy to all the godspeedyoublack emperor-related miserable (if beautiful) stuff i was wallowing in at the time!

    The Record Industry's Decline

    The Record Industry's Decline

this echos a lot of conversations ive had recently with friends: how to reconnect with music in a meaningful way, post-soulseek :) slowing down inbe's consumption is pretty key, isnt it. ive also found going to (good, non-mean-fiddler, alientating) live shows can also massively help forge a...

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

wiley last night i went. was good fun.. wiley DID make it to the stage.. just, after an increasingly worried JME making plea after plea .. but he was pretty wasted... strangely introspective and refused to engage the crowd directly, who were theyre for him, to see him deliver, have his moment...

Rock Music - let's be honest

we live in hope... Ive seen Lidell play alot over the past 6 yrs or so.. and its been a fantastic evolution. He did actually build the max msp machine he uses.. and he's tweeked it to be incredibly responsive. I've witnessed some 20 minute odysseys that have bascially worked through everything...

Rock Music - let's be honest

spamming: i know. trust that i am wracked with guilt... and anticipate the lash of a whip and a banning at any moment! there was a thread of tenuous logic in there though.. we are a 'rock' band..;) regarding the live sampling; most seem to favour those green boxes produced by line 6, they are...
