- not everyone s reality is the same.
- i will always be on side with the underdog, no matter what. that s how my moma raised me.
- politically correctness in it s extreme form is no better than racism or homophobia.
i can go on sir but i ve highjacked this thread enough don t you think?
well sorry but i couldn t let you guys gang up on the other aussie dude, he had a valid point but you guys turned it into a homophobia thing.
yeah his Forum Kungfu is weak but that didn t warrant the pile on.
now back to discussing how big beat was sooooo coool but misunderstood..
Don t quote me on this but i think something like soulseek is probably still under the RIAA's radar , i betcha they re still looking at a napster backlogs or some of the bigger Torrent Trackers that were taken down a while back.
Mr Dibbs , atmosphere etc etc were midwest turntablist kids with strong punk roots who were doing the rock/punk/hiphop juxtaposing thing in the late 90's.
technically not big beat be very damn close at times if you ask me.
Sorry sir if i repeat myself i won t do it again i just thought mrPrindle's non london-centric view od BB relevant in this thread.
Yeah i read your article and pretty much anything you blog.. does your comment mean once you ve called it no one else can write about it?
please explain?

Vancouver-based record label and management company Nettwerk Music Group has ruffled industry feathers on both sides of the...
My point was that it never was anything else here. It didn t rise from the underground but came from a jaded mainstream music press straight to FM overkill and car commercials.
Like i said maybe the genre was innovative in the UK for a few months but it didn t impress anyone in a land where...
and you need to appologize for being so jugdmental toward that other guy.
here the US perspective via Mark Prindle:
"Now the last thing I know or even give a crap to learn a thing about is this lil' 1997 "phenomenon" called "Electronica." Basically what it means is that Spin magazine has...

well in my experience fat boy slim and the chems made music that appealled to the same crowd that s always called me a faggot.
i think that s the...
it s also a regional thing , here in north america big beat was adopted by the "bar rock"/jock whatever you want to call it scene.
maybe big beat was cool in the uk for a few months but the only place i hear any these days is in car and beer commercials.
check out the first post:
"in a sickening bit of news, which validates K-punk's stance against hiphop, 50 has publicly disclaimed Kanye's criticism of the Bush admin in the wake of Hurricane Katrina."
nothing is validated by fity being an asshat.....and like all genres there s good and there s...
50 cent hiphop??
i don t think so , it s POP.
you can t make a stance against a genre based on some commercially propped up jackass.
so all hiphop is garbage ?
red herring?
you can't even begin to understand the shame of prison rape, it totally factors in. mix that up with poor education and a tremendous pressure for black males not in jail to "be the man" around the house and yes i can see lots of posturing and gay bashing.
they had jail riots in...

k-goth was already taken ?
Let me start by saying i dislike pop music to no end, dylan included....
But monsieur k(etamine?)-punk you have recently written a piece on the cure where you head was so far up rober smith's ass i was worried for your safety.
At least Scorsese waited 40 years ... the cure an important band...
