There are some compelling textures and atmospheres on that album tho.

Why do you think that? I've not listened to it much but wasn't particularly grabbed by it. One tune I quite like is Szechuan, but even that feels like a good idea imperfectly executed. Hyperdub has long stopped being a vital label.

Wow, this FKA twigs EP is really fucking good. I was surprised when 'Water Me' finished - wanted it to go on forever :). Reminded me of Visionist's trademark voices.

This anti-new grime hate is getting dull. As if it's an either/or thing... So many sweeping assumptions being made trying to second guess producer's backgrounds, class, race etc, it's complete and utter bullshit. One of the worst tendencies of this forum is to romanticise the black, working...

Last couple of pages in this thread are pretty cringe-inducing in places. A bunch of people on a forum complaining about the appropriation of a sound by people just like them. More tunes and mixes plz.
