I know he's 'the father' and responsible for rinse fm and everything, but Slimzee's sets are always pretty dull. He loves keeping the crossfader in the middle for ages so it's all clashing and chaotic. No real dynamism or propulsion.
I caught him earlier this year, and yeah it was big and banging, but these were peaks that you were lead to beautifully. Definitely the best dj ive seen for knowing just when to bring something in; just keeping things unhurriedly natural.

yes, but in systems music the system would be outlined by the composer and maybe released in sheet music form. Any time the piece was heard it would be the particular performer's performance of it, so, unlike an Authechre record, the sound and performance would not be inherent in the composition.
