Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

Enjoyed this. My mum also thinks lol means lots of love; makes for funny texts like 'Sorry to hear her dog died, lol, mum.'

questions you are dying to ask but are too scared to b/c of music nerd cred?

Not always tho; you can have basslines that compliment each other in terms of frequency and timing (dunno about with D&B, maybe its the space in dubstep which lets it work)

questions you are dying to ask but are too scared to b/c of music nerd cred?

I always thought it was bringing the intro / breakdown of one track in over the breakdown of another track so you are keeping time perfectly with two beatless sections which then drop to have two basslines in the mix (as above). Always seem youngsta mix like this and assumed thats what double...

Can you school me on david rodigan?

Its a wierd one, Rodigan seems to have popped up on the radar of london hipsters recent(ish)ly. Friends of mine who listen to Ed Banger and indie now specifically look out for his name on a flyer. It's helped im sure by Diplo booking him at their carnival party, and the fact he plays sets which...

    Dancehall

hi dd528, First port of call for up-to-the-time dancehall should definitely be the heatwave. Their weekly show covers off loads of the best new stuff. Gabriel tends to do a yearly round up as well which is a good place to look for pointers on what was happening in a certain year (here's '09 for...

This was my favourite bit, horribly clumsy copy! Also I'd like to think dubstep mobs is a reference to the Dubstep Rebellion (http://tinyurl.com/3agwtc5)

    Drag / witch house

I prefered Salem's screwed versions of Gucci to any of their other stuff; quite like her washy vocals when they just provide another layer of sound behind a purposeful focus, otherwise they just become an annoying dirge lacking any punch.... The fact that hipsters rate it is irrelevant.

I really like the whole o0o00 EP. Love all the sounds in Mumbai, just wish the drums were a bit straighter. Some of Balam Acab's stuff is great (dont think he's been mentioned?) Theres a few free downloads on his myspace and his See Birds ep is on boomkat etc. <object width="480"...
