    24hr party people Revelation!!

i saw it, loved it, bought it, continue to love it. asked martin moscrop about it when i met him, and he said it was definitely romanticized, but not too bad. so i take it with a grain of salt, but love the legened. like watching the doors movie or something. corey

    Great 2 Step?

what really got me into 2-step, and into producing it (i'd been mildly interested in what i was hearing for a while), was playing at electrowerkz in london with ardisson (seed records). the track Stop! floored me. http://www.bleep.com/player.php?track=SEEDCD06_DM-02 warp-style, idm 2step or...

TKAB Radio: Tonite, Wed, 12.7.2005 at 8PM EST

hey dissensus crew - this isn't completely dubstep, so i'm trying to only promote the show on this board once in a while, hoping that people will dig the diversity. if it gets annoying, let me know... thx, corey The Kids Are Bored Radio Wednesday, December 7, 2005 8PM - 10PM EST Tonite! Two...

Can UK Hip Hop/Grime Blow Up In The States?

i'm more into the dubstep side of things, but i think dubstep has hope. it's getting mixed in with breakcore, ragga, jungle, industrial, etc. by dj's who "know". it's got idm "producer" cred, but it's hard enough to bring out the screwface on the dancefloor. i think it's here to stay. which...

    worst musical experience?

music related, i just recently had a girl at a party get in my face about music. treading lightly cos i never know if people even know what electronic music is, it came up that i produce electronic music and she asks me, "like paul oakenfold?" i said, "no, he's too mainstream for me..." and she...

    Mark One -- One Way

what i loved about it was it felt like an album to me. there were a few things a little more "risky" than what he might trust to a 12". and not all of the album works - there were a few moments that i didn't like. but that makes me like it more, because it's an attempt to push things forward...

up and comers, where are yr tracks?

i'm guilty of this too, so i'm trying to finish a few things to put online. the Terrorrythm forum was becoming a good place to hear what bedroom producers are working on. since that forum went away, where're people posting links? this seems like a great forum for it, but i'm not seeing anything...

do you need to be an expert in dance music to 'get' grime?

i think because of my background in the history of electronic music (i even majored in it in college, :) ) i definitely appreciate grime more than i would if i didn't understand where it came from. and that isn't to say i like all or even most of it. but i respect it. which is different from...

    The GAY rapper/HIPHOP question

for a few years i produced all the music for the gay pimp out of nyc: http://www.gaypimp.com/ on one track we got to work with this character named 'homothug" who was an amazing MC, but a really weird, pretty screwed up guy. if you can get a copy of the gay pimp's "dirty gay stuff" track, he's...

    net labels

cool, thx. i'll check those out. i'd agree that it's hard to find happy music on net labels. in fact it's hard to wade thru the "minimal house" a lot of the time. it must be an easy genre to make, cos there's a hell of a lot of it. where's the dubstep netlabel? jungle? dancehall? corey
