I saw Clipse in Leeds last night...

I think you two have got yer wires crossed. I think Barry is referring to the Wu and Gumdrops Clipse. Who's better than Clipse? hmmmm...the only possibility is that little Whoopie Goldberg looking cat with tears tattooed on his face, from down Louisiana way. Who's worse than Mims, though...

I saw Clipse in Leeds last night...

...and it was high quality. Played for an hour, bought Ab-Liva with them, did mix of old and new and mixtape stuff. They grafted hard, which is refreshing to see considering the slackness displayed by some US cats when they come over. Nice down-to-earth lads as well by all accounts. Was nuts to...

Why I hate my parents' generation.

cheers swears. updates soon come. have started a story called 'Human Cancer Cannon' which will prolly go up soon... re: degrees/% of population etc, yes, you're spot on. I think a lot of people were sold a dummy and would have been WAYYY better off training to become plumbers or joiners...

Why I hate my parents' generation.

Baby boomers have raped the world, this is true on so many levels. Ex-hippies get very greedy...which makes sense if you accept that hippie culture was for a large part about personal indulgence. I will NEVER be able to buy a house, unless I get rich or manage to get some crazily well paid job...

    Trim - Soulfood

Volume 2 is really good, listening to it now. He be saying some SHIT for real, I'm well impressed. More than happy with the production too. Mega is BIG ain't he? And that track with Wiley is intense. Trim's got everything you need in an MC, can tell stories, chat surrealness, war talk, diss...

Mr Servon - America Stand Up

Was just looking for old No Limit videos on youtube and found this: Mr Servon - America Stand Up It's a home made vid and it's schmaltzy as fuck, and the intro where he says "...AIDS, breast cancer..." cracked me up, but I kinda like it. There are actually some fairly smart lyrics in here...

    In New Fads We Trust

This is sad as fuck, an absolute insult, and totally predictable as well. Nu-Rave does not mean anything! It's a journalistic creation to sell dayglo clothes to little pricks! What the hell are they going to actually play? I remember when Kiss FM fucked off Colins Dale and Favor's techno shows...

The Justice LP and Ed Banger Records

Ed Banger have got some alright stuff, but "Homework" poops on it all from a great height. Not arsed about anything DP have done since though, really.

    what are you reading now?

Indeed, that's where they got it from. There's a fair few of the crab books...some of them are quite rare. They are well worth a punt, you can read one in half an hour easily...he also has books about werewolves and bats, amongst other things. None of them are approaching literature.

"Night Of The Crabs" by Guy N Smith. Shit is straight-up retarded. Highly Recommended!

Lil' Wayne - Da Drought 3

hmmmm...in my book, just about anything on Cash Money Records from that period is fire, as Mannie Fresh did all the beats. Juvenile "400 Degrees" and "Tha G-Code", BG's "Chopper City in Da Ghetto", the Hot Boys albums, Big Tymers "I Got Dat Work", the soundtrack to "Baller Blockin'"...just pick...

    Public Enemy- Greatest band ever!

Yes, round about 2000 the NME were calling hip hop and r & b the most exciting musical forms around, they were also writing about the more 'commercial'/'street' end of it like Nelly and Ja Rule, rather than the more 'indie' stuff you'd think they'd write about (Anticon, Def Jux etc). They were...

    prejudices

he's a complete loon Hitler-worshipping freak though so I woudn't worry about him. some black metal has synths on it anyway. i know the stupid attitudes of some of these black metal artists, but somehow I can't really take it seriously, doesn't offend me and I still enjoy the music - same with...

Lil' Wayne - Da Drought 3

Yes, seen, Juvie was my favourite too back in the day, closely followed by BG. Juvenile's "Ha" is one of my favourite hip hop tunes, and you can't underestimate how much Cash Money blew up the game, how revolutionary they were. The video to "Ha" is about the best 'hood video' ever, IMO, dusty...

Lil' Wayne - Da Drought 3

Who's got this? Breathtaking. Believe his self-promotion I say - he IS the best rapper alive. If not him, then who? Trim in the UK...Weezy in the US, thus, the world. Bars, voice, flow, charisma, intelligence, craziness, versatility...the works. Used to rate Jay-Z the highest, but not for a...
