^^^ oh my god i've been debating about posting that...i can't get that damn chorus out of my head. it's been on serious repeat and i really can't help it.
anyone know if the first track on this has a title and/or if anyone's rapped on it yet? i know it's one of his live staples, but i want to know what it is.
i like the guido album a lot too, for whatever reason.
morphosis, the vocals (and lyrics) are part of the dealbreaker for me. his old stuff is really punchy and live but also textured and uses all of these interesting sounds like fragments of horns and things. the new album, everyone's going...
yeah i realize i'm in the minority on all of those lps but i can't get past that wispiness, even if there are only a few vocal tracks on each. my other qualm with the hyetal is how the first five tracks or so are on that bombastic prince kick, and then in the second half he brings out some nice...
love that lv album! in a year where half-assed vocals seem to be ruining everything for me - morphosis, falty dl, hyetal albums - this joshua guy is really charismatic and funny and generally makes it. this is going to be a heavy summer jam for me, i know it already.

he's talented but i feel like i have to show everyone the original parris track for the sake of justice.
wow...yes, thanks. it's like something out of burroughs, i can hardly believe a place like that existed.
looks so crazy, like some kind of cubed vortex. and then inside...definitely an eye opening documentary.
a month or two ago there was a popol vuh - complete herzog soundtracks boxset reissue...heart of glass is on there but i'm not sure if it's any different from the actual, actual soundtrack or the one you heard, grizzleb.
got that this morning! so far loving the new mix of "the morning" and "house of balloons - glass table girls" with a siouxsie sample...and the crazy 707 led second half...yeah i need a car to play this in. i do already have a clean, dimly lit canadian apartment, i guess that's pretty ideal too.
that definitely looks interesting, but i think part of what makes heart of glass is that the premise itself is so strange and dreamlike. not that a whole town coming back from the dead isn't strange and dreamlike, but it's not quite as...i don't know exactly how to put it...uncanny? it feels...
this is amazing! i always say it's my favorite herzog, but i never get around to rewatching it because it's kind of intense - the color palette always gets to me, along with that draggy hypnosis.
and i don't know how ali: fear eats the soul stacks up to the ones you've seen but it's very...
my first three have been ali - fear eats the soul (second fassbinder i've seen, really poignant and mournful), general idi amin dada (obviously totally insane - there's an amazing scene where he races against some guys in a swimming pool, and cheats by swimming across half of the lanes, cutting...
