ha! i think about this post quite a lot recently. kinda boiled the live review down to its essence. i had this feeling again after the keysound takeover of fabric, that happy community family glow feeling again. was familiar and welcome.

i dunno, i wrote lots of live events reviews early on but quickly found there's so little scope. it gets dull quickly. exceptional events differ but i'm not keen to read many either.

yeah, so i got this sense but what was confusing for me was that so many MCs in that Mashtown vid were repping east or NW. i know it's only one data point but it made me want to avoid saying 'it's just south'. well this is always what happens, most journalists, esp the big ones, only listen...

you talking just about the professional media outlets? because surely social media has allowed a much wider range of opinions?

btw i'm not talking about grime MCs defecting, I'm talking about grass roots talent choosing hip hop where they would have chosen grime in the past, like that young kid getting blooded on the Mashtown vid.
