    Indian Music Recommendations

Thanks for the help. A lot of this stuff looks very interesting I'm looking into getting my hands on it. Has anyone seen the movie Ghost World? The intro song looks like it's from some Indian film circa 1960 and there's definitely a deep rock & roll feel to it. Is there anything else like this...

    El-B

Hey, I love black music but modern R&B vocals really turn me off. They've already taken over grime and I'm not looking foward to the idea that the same thing might happen to dubstep.

    El-B

Wasn't El-B on a Tempa Allstars compilation? I know next to nothing about garage and always assumed he was a dubstep artist.

Can UK Hip Hop/Grime Blow Up In The States?

In terms of accessibility, I think Kano has a better chance of making it in the states over any other grime MC.

Will GRIME ever make it in America?

It would be nice if it did - I don't see anything wrong with the sound spreading to new places. But the US is a hard market to crack and I honestly wouldn't be too bothered if grime didn't make it here. What do hip-hop artists think of grime? I mean, is grime creeping in as an influence to them?

    Grime Mixtapes Worth Listening To

Yeah, I forgot about Eye of the Tiger. Love the production and I LOVE WD25 but there's way too much grime n' b nonsense on there. I thought Shyam's tracks were kinda alright but the rest of the stuff doesn't sit well with me at all.

    Grime Mixtapes Worth Listening To

Stuff like Aim High, Vol. 2 and the RWD mixtape immediately come to mind. I've also grown to like JME's Boy Better Know. Any other mixtapes you could call great?

    Grime Peeps - Fruity Loop

Much like the dude who started this thread, I'm really interesting in making music of my own but I'm fairly lost at the moment. I illegally downloaded (oh gosh!) a copy of FL Studio 6 but simply opening the program and looking at all of the features can be quite intimidating. Now, I noticed that...

    OK time to fess up

I misread the original post. I asked why because I thought the poster meant that he considered Dave Matthews Band to be a guilty pleasure. Yeah, I'm retarded.
