    House 09!

Horizontal ground are deep deep deep! Does anybody know whos behind this? All I know is that its from the UK first proper ital techno track with industrial bass weight and its super low key. http://hardwax.com/audio/59/59426/59426_B1.mp3

    Joy Orbison

yeah I have to agree here. The track doesnt really go anywhere and is seriously dry imo in its progression just quite boring. Like the guys comparison with derivative ambient jungle two finger chords and the like but two-step ukg and diva vocals . Pretty strange this would come out on Hotflush...

    french house

Yeah Its a shame, because they really are big here in LA, people even have daft punk t-shirts and bumper stickers. Though I wish they could use their high position te educate the youths, on their chicago house influences. I love this track. Ian Pooley - Chord Memory (Daft Punk Remix) also...

    ancient methods - berlin

I think that whole industrial drone soundscape they got going on would make for the most intense club experiance. Its definately not Ipod music. I like their new bits, but feel as if there veering off into the noise end of things and not a real techno connection. Im into a lot of Ben Klock at...

He is very good, but i think he could do without all the bleeding high-end frequencies that just destroy my ear.

Props to Zhao on the Andres mention. He is severely underrated. The man stays raw and this album is too much! Been bangin "change my mind" daily. I guess what i find so refreshing is his insistance on composing entire tracks out of beautifully measured disco samples. He makes house but i...

    Ramadanman / Pearson Sound

the guys just awesome. He held it down last night in LA right before N-Type came on. Ramadan just destroyed the place with next level bushman bass! His tunes hit really low and are quite powerful, just perfect on that soundsystem. The rythms physically made me want to dance, not like your...

    nostalgia in uk street music

That is so exciting to me. Relevancy is always the common thread between the styles of now and the past. Its always about elevating the dance in my opinon, tho it can be overdone. Dj's like Surgeon get it smack right, dropping old obscure detroit classics like "Polartronics - the deep" , "KB...

that was a great mix by the way, just wondering which version of "bongcat" was dropped? doubt it was an x-cloose dub as I only have the original.

    Dam Funk

Haha, remember he was quite influential in the development of the west coast G-funk sound, (warren G, nate dogg etc) in the 90's where he played keys as a session musician on most of the famous albums . I know hes not a fan of hip-hop, but the G-funk sound can be credited partly to him. As far...

    Dam Funk

You might want to check his myspace. (www.myspace.com/damfunk) His best pieces imo are some of his unreleased "mastered to cassette" tapes from the 90's. I cant get enough of it, his chord programming is ridiculous..just beautiful. Minimal but effective. Its always quite refreshing to hear a...
