not a bad read....im critical of so many grime articles from ppl that seem removed from the scene ie: pitchfork's brutal review of the kano/roll deep nyc shows last summer.
too many hipsters telling me that grime is dead cause they've decided its a fad
there is lots of stuff, just have to look to find ruff squad's imprint.
Im thinkign about picking up the rock ep...i have the no bass ep which is definately sick...
what about the tinchy styder album?
there definately busy with things....
yeah i wouldnt mind copin it...still want to get roll deep's grime vol 1 just to see the new york footage...
Wiley/Jme playing Toronto next Saturday...i got to get my behind down for the show....
its a little confusing...if i didnt know about the music i prolly would have thought the exact same thing. Its reletively new in a sense, if you check the dj cameo show from last sunday at the end he does a 4x4 set.
i know that when they say 4x4 there talking about a newer garage sound that djs have been playing as of late....
and yes 4x4 can mean stuff like house etc with the 4/4 beat but thats not what that subgenre is talking about whatsoever...
example...Plasticman interview....
Before the outbreak...
big up on the set link up....looks like some new tracks i need to give a listen to...
anyways i dont see why artists cant put something together...doesnt have to be the best looking and 100% professional....just to look a little more professional. Ive had hip hop mcs give me promo albums and...
i was wondering about how was doing that show in toronto. And yes, i never understood why grime shows never did a north american tour or multiple stops until talking to some managment. Kano's management didnt even want him on stage with Wiley doing a little battle last summer cause they were...

scroll down a bit....see kano and lady sov are back this summer....for those chicago fans
hopefully kano will be elsewhere....
kidulthood is a new movie that is out in the uk...basically just like the movie kids, i watched a bad bootleg of it on the computer and it didnt seem like anything too amazing, but it was a bad bootleg so it was hard to watch lol
^^^ yeah rinse fm would be a spot to start...well logan im sure can give a hand, sounds like a big move!!
Need more grime headliners to come over to north america bad....not just nyc!!
okay so i had a listen on some of the tracks...
All Goes Out The Window just sounds like nite nite....
Can't Con An Honest John...what is that beat?? sounds like a bad eminem beat
Never Went To Church really cheezy but i dont mind this one, sounds like a streets song unlike some of these other...
mannnn the god!!! seriously he needs to be on some dipset...im just dying for some new rakim for years....the aftermath stuff wasnt doin it for me at all....
ya i hate that 2nd phaze cover, im hoping that its not the final cut...
i didnt like the look on jme or skepta's stuff so ya a little dissapointed makes it look like a mixtape
Ive mentioned it before to many ppl that grime will never blow up here until artists have the money for tours here and not just come to new york....
Even if your a fan of grime its really hard to get to a show....if you dont like in new york.
unfortunately i just think the promotion needs to be done more and for that you need some coin. I would love nothing more that to sell mixtapes for artists here in canada and put them in record shops. That would lead to more ppl coming to the shows so i mean its all about putting money in and...
i couldnt bring myself to buying it...with all the hype i almost did, but im glad that cooler heads prevailed. Ive heard some of it, has its moments but on the whole i think that the hype was not just
