this will no doubt cause blissblogger intense embarassment and awkwardness.
TOUGH SHIT SIMON.
he is likely perfectly happy NOT being the subject of any hagiography.
"it's not a competition" he might say in all sincerity - typical of his self-effacing modesty.

i wonder if there isn't something to music which doesn't demand huge emotional investment from one? insincere music.
sometimes to be shallow is to be really deep. like a man in a suit or a girl in a summer dress.
and we've got to remember. GIRLS LIKE THIS MUSIC. and the male musicians, dude this is very calculated, pussy magnets. talk about 2step bringing the girls back to raving.
i'm not invested in it at all. sometimes i feel like i'm too old to think any new music is good.
my gut tells me it's incredibly naff - but that may be knee-jerk hipsterism?
it's like a flahback to two eras though

bad tune.
todd made a stab at jungle didn't he with "blackout"- with that there was the sense of a distance travelled.
and he was enamoured of the same hip hop x techno x reggae formulation that bewitched uk dance music - so i suppose it's surprising he didn't make more speed garage cuts.
just catching up with this. gotta say - amazing. loving the little descriptions. seriously deep knowledge in evidence. stunning. thanks so much Rudewhy.
