Its just an operating system- there appeared to me zero upside to "upgrading" to vista from XP (which at least works) unless you *really* want a flashy mac-os style graphical front-end.

Yeah, the contextualisation between music and lyric is very finely judged (ie- in this case some kind of lysergic semi-comatosed witching-hour doom electronic funeral march with dead handclaps... transforming the otherwise humdrum domestic conversation of the lyric into something deeply sinister...

Blemish is so raw I'm not sure its repeatable unfortunately. Raw in the emotional sense- its like an electro-avant garde blood on the tracks or something, although for something as bitter and angry as it is for the most part its remarkably subtle... and lyrically its a fucking masterpiece also...

Snow Borne Sorrow exemplifies a lot of where Sylvian goes wrong for me- lots of great guests, elegant production, interesting time signatures, but it turns into a mush in the mix... and his lyrics are pretty banal therein.
