    Homeless ...again!

Athos would be wonderful. I was at Meteora earlier in the trip and have a great fondness for those orthodox places. Even as a non subscriber to any religion it's hard not to be swept up by the vibes. Problem is you're only allowed 3-5 nights there only and it wouldn't be cheap to get there from...

Ah right yeah, that's happened to company logos too. They've all gone super simplified so they work as app icons

the hideousness of contemporary record artwork

This style is endemic. Kind of a mishmash of old gig poster/flyers with generic graffiti splodge, vague faded necklace (?) in the background. Just totally thoughtless and void of any emotion. Much like the man himself

the hideousness of contemporary record artwork

I was a bit half hearted with my releases I put out earlier this year but that was because putting it all together was already so much work and then to have to think about artwork on top was such a drain so I grabbed some it'll do grade stuff

the hideousness of contemporary record artwork

You get these covers of classic tunes and especially 90s/00s pop hits with a soft bossa nova guitar, a generic lofi hip-hop beat and some saccharine angel warbling no woman no cry over the top. It's amazing because it takes a minute to register what song it is and then you half recognize a line...

Also most people won't care about the above artworks because they will only take a quick glance at most. The creativity expectation standards are at an all time low. You have AI generated music playing in restaurants now and most people won't bat an eyelid

the hideousness of contemporary record artwork

The computer and all the modern generative bells and whistles have allowed for a lot of half heartedness to proliferate. Its all over the place, from album art to fashion to car design and architecture. The lack of physical hand involvement is what's missing imo, in combination with the taking...

    Homeless ...again!

Man. The Lord works in mysterious ways peeps. The German govt has granted me salvation in the form of unemployment benefits. Applied a few weeks ago. The letter arrived today. Should be sorted in the next few days. Obv that doesn't mean a whole lot of money, but it does mean food. I'm down to my...

    Homeless ...again!

re: the walking in and getting a job like the old days. People just aren't as laid back about all that shit now. Amazing to think that back in the day people would gauge you based on vibes and you could be behind the bar within an hour

Which only goes to show how feeble minded they have become. They live in a world of ideals and fantasy because they never actually got their hands dirty and drank a beer while wailing on a Stratocaster, cruising down the I95 on a Harley with a buxom babe clinging on to their ripped physique

Weird how it's all about embracing being feeble now. So glad I was reaching for my 6 pack in the dirt back in the good old days. Just feels so good to be rugged

    Faces of the 21st Century

Forgive the pontificating, but in combo with your 20th c thread, this makes me think of this phenomenon that's had people talking over the last few years: It's something I've been observing myself for a long time. Before a certain Canadian psychologist/university professor went totally insane...
