I think a great deal of the problem was the system couldnt carry the weight needed to really appreciate the tunes he was playing.. i got tired of half heard bass and lots of hihats, bongos and snares and went home.

most of the crowd was standing still or just swaying a bit until he started playing mid range wobbley stuff... there was basically no sub in the mix, mostly mid to low end and very crisp highs, i think the club wasnt cut out for it. might have been more enjoyable had i felt it in my belly but i...

but a short attack would kick the compressor in almost as soon as the hit started - thus bringing down the level of the start of the hit and bringing it into line with the tail, no?
