I mean if you can point out which ones you're saying are irredeemably merry that would maybe help but it seems like you're just trying to be as pedantic as ever now
Luka you know of them you've talked about them with Crowl when they used to be on here just because you've soured on rap again doesn't mean that they are all mediocre
Come on now
Also i put on Runway just to see if my opinion on it had changed an inch no it's still bad
If I wanted 90s rap ragga fusion tunes could've easily gone for Mobb Deep 's danger zone or dolly my baby or the remix of Bobby Shmurda's hot Nigga that had Junior Reid and Mavado on it if I wanted to go...
No and the "crap" I got you to listen to some of that was good and you did say that you liked it
But now you say this I suppose it was just politeness on your part
As in I don't recall any of our conversations or any of your life stories growing up where you live at that you was Asian or hinted as such, I don't say it as though this singularly defines you but for all I know considering i dunno what you look like and the kind of artists that you've done...
Chilli peppers i get despite being terrible but Snow I'm just like come on man...there's just nothing there
He had one hit and that's it he's lucky to even be a 1 hit wonder as is just in terms of odds
I mean i feel like you know who sadat and Kurupt are so that would be redundant but the others I'd be fine with explaining its no big deal
Although I feel like you're playing dumb cause some of those names have definitely been spoken on already
He's closer to the guy out of the Barenaked Ladies more than the Beastie Boys!
And as far as I remember that band never made anything like "one week" ever again
I'm just saying to call them rappers doesn't hold up because it's a very surface level definition of "a rapper" he's "rapping" over beats because that's general idea of what they do but the further you to into it it calls apart
It's why comparing rap groups to punk bands never work
I get that definition of rapper now has changed and spread out so much that guys like beck and the barenaked ladies guys would probably be considered rappers when at the time they weren't seen as such but come on man
Beck was out here making "anti-folk" before he was linking with the dust brothers
I get what you're trying to say but again he's not a rapper he's a singer first and I suppose rapper 2nd, its the same reason why I don't consider Zac de la Rocha a rapper because he got his start in hard-core before he started bringing in those flows
It's not their initial root is what I'm saying
