The press release hall of shame thread

Seemingly trying to underwhelm on purpose: Raw Linx Presents.... Bored of the same old emails from artists/labels/bands trying to sell themselves? Then delete this one straight away! If not then thank you and keep reading. Lex Jones was crowned King of the Mic 2009, this has helped him to...

    R.I.P: Rammellzee

I think that Gettovetts record is the first one I ever bought just because of the cover. Didn't have a clue what the record might have been about either.

    Glastonbury 2010...

I was going to do my "it ain't what it was" spiel again but then I remembered that although I'm not going and not fussed my son is, so obviously I should shut the fuck up.

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

Yeah I saw some fairly spazzy stuff too. The practice was halted at my school when one boy used the opportunity of an unconscious schoolmate to give him several cigarette burns on the arm.

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

Yeah a craze for this went round at my school. Between that and all that dots that came later on I'm surprised I'm, like, able to post and stuff...

    Mental Arithmetic

I care a little too much about spelling and grammar, but maths is a world of pain for me. I can't do subtraction. In fact anything towards the maths/science side of the curriculum further than say, geography, is like Mordor for me.

    what you currently enjoying ?

Shit, I have a pair of some of those examples on right now, but purely for reasons of practicality and comfort. I'll have a bit more of a swagger next time I go out, possibly to the post-office or to pick up my son from school. Reminds me of the time someone round these parts had to tell me...

wot childrens books still haunt your imagination

Very dreamlike...uh... sensual book. Crikey. I don't really have a thing for tattoos but if I met a woman with one of those I'd be like a one-eyed cat in a seafood store.

wot childrens books still haunt your imagination

This will probably sound a bit vague but a couple of years ago at my Mum's house I found a book that I'd read many times as a kid but it took me a little while to kind of tune in to the memory of doing so but then suddenly I got this real weird flash on it, so to speak. It was just a simple...

    bloody miserable

But then there's no such thing as laziness, only trauma, as my trainee psychotherapist girlfriend has read somewhere. It's a wicked excuse for all sorts of things. I think you have a point though. I think with a bit of effort I could be fairly happy and fulfilled. If only I wasn't such a...

And The Runaway Roller Skate. Haunting my son's imagination with my old copy these days.

Came here to put that when I saw the thread title. Mickey In The Night Kitchen, I think. His suit of dough!

    greatest vinyl bargain

I paid 75p for Alco's Threads Of Life which some dude wants £1,236.99 for on a collector's site. I wrote a thing on my blog about it. If any of you lot want to buy it I'll knock a tenner off the above sum because we're all mates on Dissensus. :p Seriously though, it is FOR SALE, if anyone's...

Pub session next week - (SE) London - anyone?

As much as I'm seduced by the phrase "midweek livener" I've just had a look at the travel/etc/etc logistics and it's just not happening really. Shame. If you do go to the Montague, see if you can pick up the presence of a young Jim Davidson walking the boards of that stage, because he used to...

Pub session next week - (SE) London - anyone?

Don't think I can do any of those days (annoying cos my missus lives close) but there's an outside chance I could do Wednesday. I'd vote for the Montague Arms over the Hobgoblin. Insane decor and Sam Smiths beer served an impressively aged landlady.

questions you are dying to ask but are too scared to b/c of music nerd cred?

I thought it was closest to "Fay", cos I think that's how John Peel used to say it?

the "i'm rubbish, help me please" thread

Some people don't know Carly Simon's Bond theme tune was inspired by Tea's Your Mum jokes. :)
