    More MIA

there is a lot of truth to this... honestly, the majority of my record collection is probably rock when if you count punk and post-punk as rock as well... the problem with non-rock people getting into rock is they invariably get into the WORST bands and the WORST styles... witness Lil Wayne's...

Pointless But It Does My Head In

i am not sure how this relates to the gender & nature/nuture sex debate going on, but i do recall reading a few studies done on seperated idenical twins where despite being raised far away from each other in different backgrounds they had very similar life paths... this is the case MB may have...

Cooking tips and wonderful flavour combinations

i don't puree at all... first i brine the pork loin (hot water, salt, sugar, garlic, peppercorns... let the loin sit in that for 24 hours)... then rinse the loin off (wash off the excess salt), throw the brine away and put in a baking pan with lots of chopped apples, chopped garlic, onions...

ignite good live band, saw them in 96 at a church basement in cambridge, ma. ... never bought any of their records... tho they are more hardcore than punky bands liek Pennywise and NoFx... (who i never liked)... as an east coaster, i found most cali pop punk to be wacky, weak, and dim... Bad...

"olympic stadium" EP and a lil press

Matedor uses string samples and chord changes from an old quebecois 60's song... so, that song would not exist w/o the samples... the other just uses a drum loop from an old record, however the drums are weird enough that the song would not be the same w/o...

    Mix cd question

Sony CD architect is a really good program for this, tho i am not sure how much it costs... you load the entire .wav or mp3 in as one track and just tap the 't" button on your computer whenever you want to create a track seperation... it will then burn the mix as such...

    Dubstep

e10 riddim is sick... rossi b and luca are sorta geniuses at keeping their sound consistant, yet keeping up with trends... hence the vaguely latin/uk funky/tropical percussion driving this track...

Films you've seen recently and would unreservedly recommend:

this movie is semi-racist, but it is still awesome... clint is great in it, all the grunts and huffing and puffing of old age feel very real... and he is still badass as hell... it is a sappy film, but a totally enjoybable one... seeing the dirty harry clint of the 70's thrown into 2008...

that's the problem w/ those websites... big pimpin is actually around 138bpm IIRC, i used to mix with a lot of grime/dubstep stuff... timbaland went thru a period of making alot of tunes near that tempo... alot of later miami bass is close to 140 as well...
