I'm 300 pages in now and loving it. Was semi unsure for the first 100 pages but now I’m into the rhythm of it and the length is no longer daunting but a nice thing as I know I have 700 pages more to enjoy.

Turnips are amazing! I love them. Par boiled then fried in duck fat as fat chips or discs they are delicious. Can have with sausages or something instead/as well as mash.
poimegranite molasses are very nice and can go in cocktails and salads too.
cauliflower and chickpea with preserved lemon and tahini dressing is delish with a dollop...
yeah lamb scrag is amazing for flavour and cheap. you just need patience, you get a massive lamb neck for about 4 quid, gorgeous with turkish spices and beans on a slow cook - i tried here.
pumpkin/suede soup with dried chilli, cumin and paprika is amazing and a piece of piss
(fry onions, then spiced, add pumpkin with water/stock, cook, blitz)
