    Funky/London/UK House

re: bedford I think the general luton/bedford/mk area has always had an influence over the years, almost like a freak extension of north london - probably even more so with hertfordshire. Steve gurley from mk, and Macabre Unit (specifically producer k9/9ner) from bedford standing out immediately.

Funky Manifesto: a compilation of superb UK Funky radio rips

Great stuff, I was thinking of doing something like this myself, especially with so many fantastic but difficult to track down tunes around right now.

I think it's on Thursday March the 5th dude. Don't want you at the wrong night. Oh... Hard House Banton's show on Deja was brilliant yesterday afternoon - loads of tracks I'd never heard, of course some of his own were standouts, mixing was fast and impeccable. I was in the car so I couldn't...

When I was still at school and had nothing else to record to I'd use VHS. It has an interesting sound quality, especially when the tracking goes out momentarily. Not sure why I posted that

    Reynolds hardcore continuum event

He played Xenophobia - Rush In The House! I would have done my rave dance at the back. How come only those two at the front are nodding their heads?! What's wrong with the rest of them!? I particularly liked the metaphor he made (77m) between jungle turning to speed garage and a girlfriend...

    Reynolds hardcore continuum event

It's almost embarrassing when he plays the first piece of music by Foul Play. The music completely torn from it's natural context and placed into a sterile, austere intellectual environment, with little physical/emotional reaction displayed. I think it's similar to what has bothered me about...

I haven't watched the whole video yet, but if you mean the Steve Gurley remix of 'Say I'm Your Number One', then I have it. http://www.sendspace.com/file/n7vrgw -

    Jungle track id

One of my favourite records of all time. I can still beatbox all the amen edits throughout the track, which I do every so often, on request.

    Funky/London/UK House

I used to be able to rip the 1Xtra stream, but I can't seem to do it now they've introduced this new iPlayer thing for the radio too. Has anyone recorded?
