i'm old enough to remember when hiphop was exciting and about having fun. that changed around the same time that 'serious heads' and hiphop students like yourself, who think they own hiphop, arrived on the scene. in your posts...
i'm a big fan of grime mixtapes, but there are so many coming out right now, and it's hard to find the ones that are really good, because i can't find a source for reliable reviews of them.

I think it's safe to say that the blissblogger has left the critical reviewing of new stuff. On his site his posts of the last months are mainly links to obituaries, and discussions about old bands reforming (gang of four et al). And in his last post he made his break with his last love, grime...
I grew up with that too, and remember these groups (except PE) always being namechecked by people who never liked hiphop before, and were saying that finally hiphop was becoming musical. And what a bore this music was (along with arrested development, remember them, or digable planets, horrible)...
