    US Pop. 00's

Oh man So far 00's pop in the States is *this* close to turning me into a certified nutcase. Thank God for the internet and bloggerverse or I would've snapped about 6-8 years ago. The radio? Fuhgeddaboutit! One.

Lil Wayne - The Carter III

Uhh...No. I regret to inform you that the Hip Hop song of the year BY FAR is Elzhi and Royce Da 5'9"'s "Motown 25" off of the disgustingly ill "Europass" LP. Ne-Yo almost spit on Bangladesh's "A Millie" beat better than Wayne did! SMH. One.

Lil Wayne - The Carter III

Actually... The Carter refers to the expansive mythical Carter Homes project building that Nino Brown and the Cash Money Brothers took over and made their all purpose base of operations in the film "New Jack City". They completely locked it down and rappers always claim to have the Rap game...

    N.E.R.D-Seeing Sounds (2008)

Lay It Down is damn good! Lay It Down is an excellent album. I actually enjoy them both but it's good to hear Al sounding like Al again. God bless Questlove and James Poyser. Now just if someone could somehow salvage what's left of Amy Winehouse. Sad to think I actually had a thing for her at...

Inform The American 3: Influential/Early Grime releases

Tell me about it. That song confused the hell out of me with all of the different versions. My Grime blog won't be dropping until the NBA Finals is finally wrapped up and hopefully my beloved Boston Celtics will come up on top. One.

    N.E.R.D-Seeing Sounds (2008)

Yet again, my fellow Dissensians disappoint me by not starting a thread for this fantastic LP themselves. I can't stop playing "Happy", "Laugh About It", "Sooner Or Later", "Love Bomb" or "Lazer Gun" (bonus track). You can read my review of it here @ my blog Poisonous Paragraphs...

Inform The American 3: Influential/Early Grime releases

I remember that! "Bushkin, Bushkin, Bushkin, Bushkin!" I knew a girl that used to looooove Heartless Crew and she played those goddamn "Crisp Biscuit" CD's to death. She loved "Burnin". I remember when they goes sued for using it as well. I never really liked their music, their radio...

Inform The American 3: Influential/Early Grime releases

Okay then... Thanks, this is what I'm talking about! I didn't know that Skepta's "D.T.I./Pirate Station Anthem" was from 2003 and I forgot all about Donae'o and I never even mentioned Sticky's other productions. The big problem for me came because between 2000-2002 I remembered all of these...

Inform The American 3: Influential/Early Grime releases

The earliest Ruff Sqwad I know of (Anna/Down/Tings In Boots) was all in 2004 isn't it? When was Skepta's "Private Caller" made...2005, right? I haven't gotten there yet with the list...I wanna shore up what happened between 2000-2003 first. As far as Dizzee goes I have to include those songs...

Inform The American 3: Influential/Early Grime releases

I'm finally going to make a post about Grime on my blog and I refuse to do the same 'ol same bullshit "Just the facts with no feeling" type that I read in magazines. As far as the early influential UKG records from about 2000 leading into 2002 when Grime was at it's Alpha so to speak I feel...

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

I was confused about that. I didn't realize that Grime Wave was a "proper" mixtape and not the Warner UK album. I was confused about that whole situation from jump. Glad to hear about Durrty Goodz project, I've waiting on that joint for hella long as well. The UK proper album release situation...

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Just heard Wiley's Grime Wave.... It's okay, nothing groundbreaking. Bless Beats of course did his thing but I think I liked Umbrella Vol. 1 better. My favorite track on it is "Sky Is Falling" cuz it reminds of the old pirate radio songs/sets I used to download from Limewire between 2002-2004...

    Flying Lotus-Los Angeles (2008)

Hmm. Surprised to hear no mentions of "Breathe. Something/Stellar Star", "Camel", "RobertaFlack" (AKA the Dolly song) or "SexSlaveShip" yet. My necks stills hurts from my first listen. One.

    Flying Lotus-Los Angeles (2008)

I reviewed it on my blog a while back when it leaked and I figured they'd be a thread full of people fawning over it on Dissensus by now. I thought it was fuckin' ridiculoid and I've been killing it for weeks now. Where's the love...or haven't any of you heard it yet? I just know that isn't the...
