Got my coach booked home for the Dunwich Dynamo. Quite excited. And a bit daunted. Riding to Paris over the weekend to escape the r***l w*****g. Have bought a Kraftwerk Tour de France cycle shirt for the occasion. Edit: that looks like I've starred out "wanking". Hur hur hur.

Pointless But It Does My Head In

He's brilliant. Sometimes light entertainment is miles funnier (and cleverer) than edgier stuff. He's got a really good set of scriptwriters, too.

I really like the Lone EP on R&S. It's almost a pastiche of Chicago/ Detroit sounds but I love em so I don't care. Can anyone recommend any other Lone stuff - there's a couple of albums I think.

    David Foster Wallace RIP

Would people be interested in doing a Dissensus book club on this? I'd be keen.

    POLL: Greatest garage producer?

I loved that programme. Three hours of UK Garage on the radio to listen to in bed every Sunday morning is a pretty much amazing concept outside London. By the end they were playing about 50:50 garage:r&b, but that was pretty cool, too.

    Nostalgia

Are smells more evocative because you can't store them in your memory? Like, you can't just conjure up the smell of eg that kind of dust Tea was referring to, so when you do smell it the nostaligic links are greater?

what the f**k is the time anyway?

I've no idea what's going on. I think my phone updated itself. I am relying on the dissensus time stamp now Edit: my phone and dissensus agree. If I am late for football cos of this, I'm going to post a load of spam in the music section

Street halo is great. A bit ruffer than his more recent stuff, and all the better for it

Just once, I'd like to go to a meeting or a seminar or conference or anything where the consensus was that a one-size-fits-all approach was exactly what was needed.

This has sold out on pre sales everywhere. Managed to pick one up at rough trade yesterday lunchtime. Radiohead fanboys plus burial fanboys (me!) equals high prices on discogs next week.
