Thanks. Yeah they are great. It's nice to see a polemicist who is unashamedly intellectual and opinionated and still entertaining.

So, I have been enjoying Off-Kilter, all the little riffs and wilfully tangential chatting in the deadpan style. I have not seen Magnetic North though.

Big up tea, drink of the nation and salve of worlds. Coffee at the weekend or at the end of a nice meal but tea is the workhorse dragging me through the working day.

I think he's great. Is he more concerned with appearing hard that say P Money or the next guy? I guess i buy into the wacky genius thing a bit so anything silly like anti masoic dvds would add to his appeal for me!

I like the idea of dot rotten as the succesor to trim.... They are both a bit weird (in the best possible way) and but still very gully. that clip aint the best tho. The bit where he sings 'you can't say salaam a lakum and eat pork' on his mixtape get's me every time, it's wicked how he does...

    reggae and overt religiosity

I love it like i love that 90s hiphop that i can sing along to with NOI or 5% lyrics when i am basically a bit of a white devil or like a listen to a Kool G Rap or Raekwon crime narrative and thing it's a great tune whilst thinking the morality in it is pretty awful... anyway enough from me...

    reggae and overt religiosity

Having thought about it. I agree that if you write some of the beliefs down on paper and asses them as theological claims they look a bit hard to believe and people who love reggae would dismiss a lot of similar stuff it was espoused by nerdy white ideologues or conspiracy theorists but the...

    Pop derived from Grime

I dunno, Dizzee always seems pretty smart, he's having the time of his life, probably got millions of girls around him, he's minted himself and can do what he like, he's signed Newham Gens (ok he could have done more, but...) so I don't really see him as having 'just bowed to and been co-opted...

    Pop derived from Grime

ahh! Has chippy ever even been on radio seta? You can't begrudge Tinchy or Dizzee their success when they have done radio and raves for years (not to mention some of thier pop tunes are actually good if not at all grimey er Bonkers, Stryderman, Take Me Back) and are now getting some money but...

i am 100% atheist but have no problem with it, if it sounds good you can still enjoy it without agreeing with it no? it's how i (and others here i guess) listen to sizzla knowing about his disgusting views on gay people maybe that's a bit too easy and you should engage more? i dunno
