    I hate Sigur Ros!

Having been to Iceland (both north and south in back '91) I can say it's quite an exciting and dramatic place. Great nature, great people, but rubbish local beer (Eigils). Even if Iceland was "boring" - sometimes those boring environments bring out the most exciting stuff (loads of the punks...

    Coldplay "sampling" Kraftwerk.

good call Woe. I was thinking about blogging about this a while ago - but let it skip. The surprising thing is that Kraftwerk allowed this to happen. Then again - maybe it's a "do not try to pidgeonhole us" sort of thing (ehh - it's hard not to with Kraftwerk); just like Dylan's Starbucks...

    Audio File Conversion

dbPowerAmp Music Converter. whenever iTunes screw up the MP3 conversion (it still does for certain tracks and I store all my music on the iPod itself as MP3) I use dbPowerAmp. Sadly I think the guy has to charge 7 quid for the "MP3-licence" (Fraunhofer, the owner of the MP3-patent, got after...

    NME C86 in MP3 format (aka .022)

Taste has not changed a bit. Those are the three tracks possibly worth keeping. Shop Assistants - good folkish voice with hint of Velvet Underground 1/2 Man 1/2 Biscuit - yeah Fuzzbox - nice pop with Siouxsie/Lene Lovich yelping the rest? I blame The Smiths. I was never a massive fan, actually...

Wich net browser do you use?

Opera first and foremost. It's got the fastest rendering engine, I can't live without mouse gestures, tabbed browsing, built-in pop-up blocker and Notes for a quick note without starting another app. I also think Opera's security features are excellent and the rare security bugs gets fixed...

    The Hater's Thread

Love it. Who isn't? I had no idea that Saul was to be some sort of saviour of hip-hop. Having listened to the whole of the SXSW-legal-torrent I bundled him together with Meg Lee Chin (who is quoting Ginsberg on her track. I only know that because I happened to read the Guardian last week and...

ID cards will contain RFIDs, enables monitoring of who does what when

This sort of drowned in the media torrent, but The Times mentioned last week that the Gov want ID-cards with RFIDs. RFIDs are small electronic chips used to track things, normally goods in a shop. I haven't had the energy to write about this (I prefer reading to writing), but I wish I did...
