Part of the reason why Sweden don't put the elderly in ICUs. They let them die at the retirement homes, but as cynical as that might be - perhaps a more dignified death.
I believe the survival rate for Covid19 ICU patients was 20% in NY (and 50% in the UK), compared to 80% in Sweden.
I think the Norwegian government concluded the same and regretted it. Which is some admission. On this particular point Sweden was right. They did close high school and universites, though. Also lots of companies closed, maybe even more than here in DK. When people say Sweden was the only...
How's that? It makes no sense to me. AFAIK the kids hardly catch anything and if they do hardly pass it on. Perhaps because of cross-immunity who knows.
I should notice I am referring to the young kids. Older ones probably transmit more than adults, because of more contacts.
Still pre-print, so take it with a grain of salt:

The jury's still out re: Sweden
When filesharing and CDJs arrived I lost all interest in music for a while. It all became filecollecting/"sharing".
The silly amounts spent on 12s was a rite of passage for some, certainly was for me. Some would also call it sunk costs.
Great act. Heard them live 5 years ago and it was fantastic. Perhaps the best industrial act I've ever seen next to Panasonic if they count as industrial.
No doubt there are a lot of proto-techno hidden in the history of industrial music.
I see (on twitter) that some are offended how Kraftwerk were loaded and pretty upper class (Florians father was a very influental modernist architect). I mean if you are loaded with D-marks and end up creating Kraftwerk how the hell is that a problem? That's was I call a solid investment strategy.
That's the cheesiness and the mundanity of the themes that are genius. They pair this with melancholia and restraint and a great deal of classical euro heritage.
I just have a hard time with the techno connection stuff. The restraint and minimalism is probably a connection, it depends of...
Are Kraftwerk utopian? There's no outer space obsession for a start. They sound like modernist music should sound if it had the 20s utopianism but 50 years later it gets more ironic for me
Trying to follow the reasoning of these types. Let's see what Berlin will do. Berghain is silent on BLM which has been seen as 'problematic'. But isn't RA based now? So will the hordes of white DJs/producers go into early retirement to make space and "amplify" the message?
What's the endgame?
