I have to admit, before the Trump debacle I wasn't aware of the existance of Alex Jones. Watched a few of his vids on youtube (meaning the first few seconds) and couldn't help it but think this must be satire. Of course, it isn't. And that's the creepy part.

There have been some cases in Austria where those kind of threats led to convictions last year. It helped, that the people threatened were politicians (by the Green party mostly) but still.

As said, from the Conservatives/May's point of view, excellent tactical thinking. Labour in bad state, negative Brexit shitheap not in effect yet. UKIP as a party already a footnote (correct me if I am wrong, I am not in the UK and that's just my impression I get from occasional media coverage...

Starwars is a fairy tale/soap opera with some sci-fi embellishments. Exactly the reason IMO it's so successful

The Bible (all the prophecies etc, as well as a lot of other Religious "foundational" books) have the "sci fi" qualities when defining it along the lines of possible future human experiences.
