UK Recordshop...
I suppose there two different types of listening though...one where you're filtering through stuff to find the stuff that resonates and then when your listening to something properly when you think it deserves your undivided attention
I think there should be a voting option to do with age. I resisted growing a beard until I was 38, as I think now it's allowed. Young beardies are the real wierdies.
I thought that was Mills' mixing style though, each plate dropped into the mix without headphones. I kinda liked that style of djing as well, hearing chaos move to synchronicity
well I can attest to the floor being cleared but I think everyone just put it down to generic technical problems rather than attributing to you. We also had DJ Janeck going down a storm in the other room, which made getting them back difficult...
my mishaps are many, picking up the wrong...
a coupla grimey ones...
i've been in jammer's basement (looking for that hooky bassline)...
d double came up to me to say hi when I was drinking outside the King Edwards pub in Stratford...out of the blue, said something like 'what me tel' em, its Dirty Canvas'
I'm dining on that one forever
..this isn't claims to generic fame though, we talking about stuff YOU care about about, which you can bore the youngers about when you're propping up a whetherspoons bar somewhere. the fact mark e smith politely said hello to me in some birmingham street is a much bigger deal than me sleeping...
ok, gonna try and wrestle the initiative back with another serious one
I met Lee Perry, about 5 yrs ago, looking lost at Stansted Airport and took him to where he needed to check in...he was wearing a gold crown
Put modesty to side and become the muso bores you pretend not to be!
I saw Nirvana in the Duchess of York pub in Leeds in 1989 supporting Tad in front of about 50 people
I'm not sure I agree zhao ...that berlin is a paradise for cyclists. Yes at first with all the cycle lanes I thought it was better but the lanes are really built for the casual cyclist, with their uneven surfaces and pedestrians drifting onto them...also when you do hit the road, car drivers...
I'm half thinking about this as well. Mine have been stored in siblings' attics and really not missed (actually I've cut myself from 9/10s of all of my stuff and not missed anything)...and I guess too it's the fear of getting ripped off which is the only thing stopping me make a quick and easy sale
