    Where are the breaks?

Kicks on 1 and 3, snares on 2 and 4 is about as straight as you can make a rhytm. boom tick boom tick boom tick. But yeah breaks were used in so much shit music that no "hip" people wanted to touch it. Of course this just means it will come a point when it becomes the new cool thing, probably...

    King of the Hill

    The Trip

Lovely series, best I've seen in the genre perhaps. Really the same thing as alan partridge though, only better, the character Coogan does as Coogan is essentially the same as Partidge. Didn't like morning matters that much, pointleess nostalgia. Reminded me of this much better sketch, the...

    Top 10 Records of 2010

Boring year for music, well illustrated by connect_icut's list; seems like it was made for reading a book or studying while listening Usually make a best of list, but this year there really has been very very few interesting releases

Kode9 plays Burial - Club to Club 2010

kinda sounds like traditional chinese music. Think Burial might have lost it. btw, anyone remember when burial released untrue (or when his identity got exposed don't remember) he said he had actually made a whole release of very intricate music that he decided to scrap, and instead made untrue...

    Ramadanman / Pearson Sound

he released a whole "cd", or a zip if you will, of free tunes a year or two back which was quite good. Lost it when i accidentally formated the wrong harddrive, anyone who know how to get hold of it now?

    Dubstep

i would say what sets rusko apart from most brostep is that he really does have some "funk n groove" in the midst of all wobble. He may be in part responsible for their existence, but can't really be held responsible for the others being crap. But i don't know, can't listen to either anymore.

    American Pictures

really amazing book, read it back in the day. Think my moms bloke hung out with him as well, was he that showed it to me. Which reminds me i'm gonna have to raid his bookshelf a little more often. And perhaps get a shoot from his peyote cactus.

    Stephen King phobia?

Loved him when i was younger. He's written tons of crap, some of which you tried to read, but he really is quite good at times, much of his earlier stuff, the bachman ones (rage, long walk, roadwork), dead zone, cujo, misery. He can write beautifully about growing up, about small town america...
