    Actress / Nail the cross

I think in the right hands though digital can sound just as satisfying as analogue - if you look at what flying lotus, burial, shackleton, levon vincent actress all manage to do. it's all about channelling the right frequencies until things sound right really. obviously there are issues of...

that's an amazing pairing. Honest Jon's are doing great things at the moment, great to see them recognising people like mala and actress. Still loving that Shangaan electro compilation too. Still need to properly check out those moritz von oswald trio releases

    Shackleton

Long been saying Shackleton is in a field of his own. His live sets are the one, there's something unique and captivating about his sound that no one else is quite doing. I love how detached it feels from all the trends that come and go. Looking forward to reading the wire, echo the sentiments...

    Lukid

this tune has always been a big personal favourite but haven't been that taken by a lot of his stuff. He has his moments but I think he's a bit limited - a lot of his work has a kind of clunkiness to it that I don't find too appealing. Like chord and hair of the dog though

    Dubstep

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like a lot of the soul jazz output is producer's offcuts. I seldom hear anything they put out that is anything like the top of the producer's output apart from a few years ago with the misty winter/earth a run red/ladybug 12s. Constantly underwhelmed by...

    Underground Hip-Hop

Thought first cLOUDDEAD album was amazing, can understand the clever clever criticism, find a lot of that kind of stuff very jarring. But there's something pretty timeless about the way it all interlinks together and floats from one place to the next in the way that I've never really heard from...

what are people saying about this one? Had to double take when I spotted it - preview sounds really nice. Good to hear Autechre making something with a bit of a groove to it, they've built it really nicely around the vocal.

timbalands finest moments compied by me.

I'd go for cry me a river as well. Do people accredit most of the better recent Timbaland moments to Danja? Read that My Love was pretty much just a Danja tune, as I guess Promiscuous would be as well
