Cooking tips and wonderful flavour combinations

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That sounds brilliant. Will try that. Im guessing polenta is more the same as cornmeal. So to make a the link has anyone had cornmeal roti. Ive never seen them in a resturant but be assured they do exist. Make as per flour roti but a little thicker and eat with...

    dj + "real" instruments

I was thinking about playing the trumpet without the mute and giving it some. But having found out it was an early set while people where waking I guess you made the right call. Effect-box-nighttime set would be good to hear where you can let it rip so to speak.

    dj + "real" instruments

Percussion kinda works ok in this style of bumpy house context but the muted trumpet over the top slows down the momentum for me which is ok for eg here . . . There probably better egs but that the first one to come to mind. Maybe open it up and let it blow some. Out of interest what time...

    The accents thread

Its a good question. Ive never really thought about it but I would say the rising intonation is not generally used in Indo languages (hindi, punjabi, urdu). Ive heard some of school kids using it when conversing here in the UK so its def creeping in but its not something Ive heard when older...

    Reggae

Oh and a question. Another unknown tune from an old tape. Quite an eerie tune from late 70's/early 80' possibly. Chorus something like 'How can a man be tougher than the world, tougher than the world' ...something about 'tougher than creation' ...something 'tribulations of life' I should...

Not too sure where to post this but I guess here will do . . . Its just a quick interview with UB40 about the 1981 recession. Some people may diss em but they've I got a soft spot for them. "James Brown and Brian Travers of Birmingham-based pop band UB40 compare the current recession to 1981...

anti-BNP tactical vote for English folk on June 4th

The last point was an important obsevervation from what I have seen. 4) Stop the marches/labelling/shouting etc Marching into an area that you do not know and have no continuing interest in, shouting what’s right for that area is alienating and counter-productive. People do not like being told...

anti-BNP tactical vote for English folk on June 4th

Nail on the head mate. Yes, I heard about the Luton bizness but didnt realise it has escalated to organising regular unpoliced meets in ethnically diverse citys is just winding up ppl who are ready to be wound up is a worry and vice versa.

anti-BNP tactical vote for English folk on June 4th

Dont remember seeing this on the TV news anywhere. Did it go unreported ? "Groups that say they are opposed to Islamist extremism are plotting fresh clashes with anti-fascist organisations this summer after violent battles between the two sides in Birmingham city centre led to 35 arrests over...
