Yep that sounds familiar Colz. I only seem to remember the call/response bits to the vocals and the percussion which was hot. Dont know if was live or just loads of people in the studio there must of at least 10 people in the groups to play all the instruments.
I think Land of Lost was a mixtape initially but then it was remade as a album to be released as a double pack with with Beauty In Distortion. Ive only heard clips but I might get. It kinda sounds 'interesting' on first listen but sometime I go off stuff like this quite quicky.
edit : or what...
Tthe Art of Drums a bad track. Dont know if its a UK production but it does differ from the Washinton stlye in that it doesnt have any horns iirc (and im going a long time back) and it almost electro bassline as oppposed a bass guiter bassline.
I'll have to have a look but i have some bits and...
Me too.
Summer
T's black, white, grey no logo. Long sleeve shirts more or less the same colours. Levis 501 always a size too big. Same haircut but greying day by day. Small coat
Winter
As above with bigger coat.
Really enjoying the Pinch mix on CD2 of Tectonic Plates V2 comp. Nice set of rollers for an afternoon. I do wish some of the tracks stayed in the mix a bit longer tho'.
cheers, chopping/mixing in production, i feel that this is where the basslines started to drop out of dancehall such that the bass is just a chop as opposed something riding over the drums. Its almost part of the syncopation as the bassline is just about gone.
In a dancehall sound when the operator uses the volume or some switch to make it sound like the volume being turned up and down in time the bass . . . hmmm not explaining that very well .

The Namlook/Hawtin From Within Series is pretty good. Ive not listened to it for many years tho. Acid lines, lots of immersive bass and subtle drum/synth programming.
I guess so even then there was so many genres. Piano, Euro, Progressive etc. I was looking at tape the other day I had labelled deep house and it was mostly Chicago/Detroit/and some 808 State so Im guessing even pre-93. About 89-90 maybe. . .
Yeah i got the Omar S CD (thanks Martin) on the first couple of listens I didnt really get into it too much and kept skipping to Day over and over which i adore.
Then one time it was in the player and I suddenly locked into the how hynotic it gets after about 10 mins of those bumpy kicks and...
