    Talking to Yourself.

i have had a few moments (or periods punctuated by moments of awareness about it) of deep de-realisation during the past months. it's really amazing how your social world keeps reality in check, keeps it fixed in a stable consciousness. conversations serve this purpose in a profound, maybe...

    Optimisation

The bad thing for me about the internet is how it's leaping out and colonising real society. If we think about the internet as a world you can enter into that is seperate from the real world, it is a good and exciting and almost magical thing, partly beacuse of the binary allure, but when the...

    Question about gender

    a) Is it desirable to disregard or annihiliate the concepts of masculinity / femininity altogether? b) Is it possible to do this or can we only subvert, parody etc.? which is to ask are we dependent upon the energy provided by these concepts/ideals to do anything, even to act in opposition to them?

    What do you fear?

aren't we all just vacuums, vacuuming away, not being able to hear the screams of our lonely, trapped-in souls

    What do you fear?

I don't really know. Ghosts a bit I think, at least that's the shape my general fear will assume when waking up to sudden mysterious noises or something. I used to have recurring nightmares about being sucked up into the vacuum cleaner and being stuck inside it screaming in dread and anguish...

    rolling tv thread

this new danish documentary The Mole is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever watched. the brilliant thing about it, what drives home the sense of absurdity is how, when the veil is pulled from this secret underworld of international arms dealing, drug manufacturing, underground weapons...

    Going it alone

you phrased it as them committing a conscious act of borrowing for the sole purpose of personal gain. if you can cast all other possible elements in that exchange things aside, then I really don't see what's stopping you from doing it other cases. when i find most of white rap and dancehall...

how much do you drink in a normal week?

I don't drink very much since corona. The thought of a table, beers and cigarettes, smokey room, packed and noisy, talk and being with people until 5 when they close and then shambling through the city to home and bed, seems so foreign to me now even though it was a weekly occurrence not long ago.

    Going it alone

i'm not a big fan of the exploitation lens, i think it's a violent simplification. there are more facets at play than opportunism, if that even was a conscious motive of either. but obviously padraig knows this, it was mostly a quip about him being stuck on the same note, resorting to the same...

    The Teaching Machine.

a friend just sent me a tik tok video of a group of all white danes in a dance battle and what was very strange was that you could not tell, unless from their faces, that these were danes and that this was happening in denmark. there's always this slightly awkward inflection in the style, the...

Films You've Seen Recently and Don't Know WTF to think

I hated that one but tbh I don't think I got very far. From the beginning I immediately thought that the director was a theater nerd and that he should have just made it a theater play. It put me off to the whole thing, for some reason I have this great distaste for theater people

    The Teaching Machine.

I think twitter deserves a lot of analysis. When I say I hate satire, it's not because I sense some great act of evil inherent to it, but it's because the satire rhetoric is emblematic of a fundamental large scale drift away from the good way of engaging with each other happening right now. I...

    Intoxication log

i envision Rich as a sensible dad type in this group of heedless narcotic wayward euro-carefree bohos remember that time he put such great effort and care in cooking this lovely dinner and all the guests were on this 24 hour ket trip? i've thought about that scene many times, it's like I was there
