    Do you like old synths?

I've read Shake the techno producer also uses the K2000 and so do did Robert Miles in Children.

    Do you like old synths?

Modulars remind me of mad scientists, not necessarily a bad thing of course.

    Nature Watch.

It's the first day of river fishing season tomorrow so I'm getting up early to go and fish the Severn off the island above the weir at Holt Fleet. On the other stretch I fish between Alveley and Hempton Loade, there's another island in the river that some massive (fish eating, but that's...

There's more I ain't heard of though obviously heard of Buchla modulars. Not many 90s synths in my list but like the JD 800/990 which apparently does complex atmospheric sounds. I googled 'Seba JD990' and it came up this...

    Do you like old synths?

I wouldn't know where to start programming a Kurzweil, as FM synths are hard enough. Some of the others you can get plenty of software emulations of, never seen one for a Kurzweil.

    Do you like old synths?

I've heard of the Tempest. I remember Blawan used one for a while. The others are much more obscure and gave me some research to be doing! This for example sounds pretty 'lush'.

Sly & The Family Stone vs. Funkadelic

Wow that's funky. Got a Juju style to it?

Do you know what's going on?

I like to think of myself as the audience in Arrival of a Train, the reader of The Balloon Hoax, or the listener of The War of the Worlds. In other words, pretty clueless. Or deceived in some way. Definitely not paranoid.

    Censorship, Surveillance & Apathy

It said JTRIG on my arrest warrant. Bet many can't beat that!

Had one the other day called Das Ist Ein Lagerbier.

Do you know what's going on?

AI. Fake News. And as Candi Staton said, Self Preservation.

    Do you like old synths?

MKS20 is my favourite digital piano sound. Always thought it would be great to do a hardcore track with it instead of Korg M1.

    Do you like old synths?

I thought it would be a MiniMoog, but learnt years ago it was a DX7, so I proceeded to download about 5000 FM7 patches to try and find it but didn't. It sounds like SOS Band or Moroder or something that used a MiniMoog. I'd love the odd occasion I found a preset that had been used in a tune...

    Do you like old synths?

That's how I found out about the Kurzweil, from Speedy J, fairly sure the K2000 produces the kind of sounds heard on the track Tesla. I have learnt about most of the others from YouTube, general listening, and also I used to have loads of Soft Synth emulations! I reckon I'm pretty good at...

    Birds

I saw a bird the other day and thought, Kingfisher! They're quite common sights round here near water when you're fishing, but then I've realised there's 3 of them, and they're chasing each other, and not electric blue like a Kingfisher but royal blue. I think I've managed to identify them as...

    Do you like old synths?

Leaving out the big units like Farilight and Synclavier. 1) YAMAHA CS80 - basically the Vangelis synth with the thickest warbly oscillators I've ever heard. 2) Roland Jupiter 8 - For some reason I always associate it with John Carpenter, though I think that might be incorrect, either way, it...

    The Belleville Three

Juan has won the poll so far. Understandable really as he was the earliest pioneer of the three if I'm right and carried on making decent tunes in the 90s.

    Do you like old synths?

I do. I've came up with a list of a top 10, but won't post it just yet until some others have posted. What are your favourite old synths?
