ofc everyone knows "Surkit" from Apollo Two if nothing else, and it's a 100% canonical Detroit jam, but this dude released an LP like 6 years ago that is also great

also interested in recommendations in Sandwell District, L.I.E.S, etc vein. I gather it's been a big trend + there's a lot of it around, so recs from knowledgeable people would be cool.

there are some great records in that L.I.E.S. etc (Sandwell, Bio Rhythm, Cititrax) techno/ebm/industrial/noise aesthetic. probably not news to any real techno people.

one of the most amazing things I've heard in a while, random lone Belgian genius ca. 1990 at the nexus of EBM/New Beat, rhythmic noise, industrial, + harsh techno, "analog dancecore" as he calls it. a record that just seems impossible, like the Charanjit Singh acid raga record.
    good that ta

ya I'm familiar with Mika Vainio, Surgeon/Regis, etc, tho have only listened to bits + pieces, especially of the former. Morphine looks promising.

some other labels I noted to check out - Contort Yourself, Knekelhuis, Sign Bit Zero, some things on Trilogy Tapes

I'm cool with noise or rhythmic noise here + generally but definitely more into the techno/EBM thing, you know like danceable industrial v abstract industrial

also into hard techno but only in a specific way, like all the anonymous pounding Berghain stuff does nothing for me

interested in stuff like this basically

one of my favorite Jack Smooth/Basements Records related tracks

mentioned Den Haag. Liberator acid also good tho sometimes gets a bit silly or too 90s tranceish. have listened to some blinding Chris Liberator mixes tho.

Mills, Hood + early UR of course.

into relentlessness combined with dark pulsing sexiness of EBM.

hate liberator acid personally, you can't jack to it so what's the point?

getting out of your head and having it large, what else? trades the groove for the hammer. different kind of jacking. some people don't like both kinds tbf.

riding/running/etc around a big city, especially blazed, Liberator style mixes are pretty fantastic

    I mean this is undeniable
