the crew responsible for hosting Blackout Crew’s debut London live show go for their first show at The Big Chill House with UK garage legend Zed Bias headlining alongside fast rising star Deadboy and an old-skool Belgium hoover classic set from Warlock alongside residents Hot City who will be 'pumping' Nochexxx werks and Disco Of Doom.

What does "Hot City 'pumps' Nochexxx" mean? Are you dj-ing or is it some guy playing a load of your stuff or what?
Think I shoudl be able to make it anyway, what time are you/they on?

yes! DJ Hot City (Ramp /Highpoint Lowlife will be playing a set of exclusive Nochexxx material. for varying reasons i've had this idea, which is to let someone else represent my music. i hope it goes well, your support is much apprecaited!

That's quite an interesting idea I think - but what prompted it? And is he a mate of yours or are you going the whole hog and paying some guy you don't know to it.

Initially Hot City offered me the spot and at first I did think about playing, but after further deliberation I felt it was time to try out this idea (tbf it has been weighing heavily on my mind for sometime now).

For the record I’ve never met the guy or seen him live but I have heard his recent mixes (which I dig and his last 4 mixes contain Nochexxx!). Also he’s affiliated to Ramp, so he seemed like the right person to ask.

And yes I will be there too observe and be a punter during the ‘pumps’ show.

thanks Polystyle, it went well. club was packed and the floor was grinding -it was a pleasure to gage my trax functionality, being as it may the first Nochexxx PA. one negative was the soundsystem wasn't brilliant -i have heard a lot worse though.

incidentally are there any places you can get a drink after 3am round kings cross? if not it makes pulling an all nighter way more
strenuous.

Personally I think the idea of you and Bobby sitting in the park all night adds nicely to the mythology. Playing to a packed and sweaty house one minute and shivering your tits off with a can of Stella on a bench for the rest of the night. It's like some Belleville Three shit.

forgot to say before but had a really good time at this night despite the so-so sound, maddening bar queues, swathes of ultra-trendy types etc. deadboy was wicked too. really liking 'smashing your system' nochexxx
