Firstly, a massive shout to anybody who came down and partied with us for our birthday celebrations, was a fantastic night and the best possible way to see off a year of memorable parties, so big up yourselves! But we at AKA AKA ROAR! never like to rest on our laurels for too long, so we're straight back to business on the 25th feburary, with a lineup that we have a feeling you might like...

JAMES BLAKE (DJ Set)
JOY ORBISON

BEN WHITE
LEON
LORCA
STICKE DAVIS

Room 2 Hosted By: NIGHTMOVES
NIGHTMOVES DJ's
DUBLOKE
BROWN NOISE

If you haven't heard of JAMES BLAKE you've probably been living alone in a cave, naked, for the last year, only leaving to shoot at ducks and scream jumbled obscenities at the lonely night sky. Since we first put him on in March last year James has all but taken over the world, from gaining Radio 1 A playlist status to coming second in the sound of 2011 poll and gathering praise from everyone from Fact to The Guardian. And that's not even mentioning 3 of last years best EPs. Make sure you don't sleep on this.

2010 was another great year for JOY ORBISON with his "The Shrew Would Have Cushioned The Blow" EP further pushing forward his distinctive take on House, his DJ sets wowing the dancefloors the world over and his Doldrums imprint releasing one of last years biggest tunes, Braiden's "The Alps".

Up and coming DJ and Producer BLAWAN is definitely one of AKA's tips for 2011, with "Fram" being one of our favourite tunes of late, plus if you're backed by Hessle Audio you're ok by us. Oh yeah, and he's not Ben UFO, despite the rumours.

Support comes from BEN WHITE, LEON, LORCA and STICKIE DAVIS, while room 2 will be hosted by the NIGHTMOVES collective who in their short life have already made quite a name for themselves with their blend of disco, soul and rare groove. Rounding things off in Rm 2 will be DUBLOKE and BROWN NOISE the 2 of them have been repping hard since day 1 and we are proud to finally get them involved.
