strange times whereas Alien and The Shining were a year apart, Aliens was highly anticipated and it feels clunky now

it’s all boom bosh splat squish aaagh fromp boooom yeehaw in Aliens, it loses the claustrophobia from there on of the o.g, I mean I’m not arsed about engineers or whatever it becomes irrelevant as the quantity falls away

They make that hysterical elephant sound too in Aliens, listen for it I swear it’s a recording of elephant dying or warped elephant fx especially when they’re swarming and being slaughtered, turned out to be a bit of a pisshand after ‘everything’

Yeah, I enjoy Aliens but it doesn't have the magic of the first one. It's just a great action film. The creature effects are wicked, mind you. The behind the scenes shots of the queen make you realise how astonishing a feat it was. They built a 14-ft puppet with two people controlling it from inside and a mechanical head controlled by another team.
