Films which elicit an unpleasant physical response

I love that bit when they say "What happened to your eyes?" and he says "We won't need eyes where we're going" (or something like that).

Bring Them Down

what a waste of night shift lull, the first 35 mins are superb and then oh dear

it portrays agriculture as poignantly in said 35 mins as just about any other modern piece and reminds me of my grandparents farm on Anglesey with the sheer chore list of rounding flocks and markets and trailers loaded and the wisest sheepdogs known to mankind

except in the film the plot turns towards animal slaughter at almost unbearable to watch levels initially, not ott, dead on but without trying to ruin the film you find yourself thinking how/why/what is the purpose of so many mutilated animals and just as you find yourself in awe it all deflates and the spectre of taking life transits from surreal transcendence to fuck off 4/10 stupid ending made me quite angry wanted to kick the screen in

I saw Audition at the IFC in Dublin. I'd heard it was disturbing but when I got to the ticket booth there was a stark A4 print off stating "not suitable for anyone with e.g. a heart condition". That sounds impossible now but it was there - blu-tacked up on the screen between me and the employee. That phrase was hanging in my mind as I sat down (alone - you must be alone in the cinema?). The set up in this one is brilliant so the fear and anticipation was beyond palpable. Once the gore began there were walk-outs - about 6 or 7 which only made it better.
