Yeah there was some Godard quote about how you can steal ideas and techniques and authentically appropriate them into some new work, but this practice gets morally murkier when you are stealing across levels of socio-economic enfranchisement.

I don't recall. I might have argued about him? You might be mixing it up with Jason Louv who attacked my mate Steve because of his interest in Vodou. That was a really nasty episode.

You definitely met Steve before he left London. Geordie voodoo mod. Jason had a mental breakdown due to too much drugs and magic (and narcissism tbh) and blamed Stephen as he'd introduced him to some basic voodoo practices. It was a really horrible row in a way that a deeply personal attack from someone totally mad via the internet can be.
