When Belgium Ruled the World

Without knowing what it would have really been like besides my idealized fantasy, I used to want to move to Belgium.
Between all of the ebm, new beat and techno they produced...
but I kind of stopped wanting to go around 92 though
But there was still good stuff later like on Re-load Records and sublabels, for example.

Also, this, the first Dr. Fernando 12 was his best, imo (was also a member of Zsa Zsa La Boum mentioned earlier in the thread and lots of other projects):

on another note, got the reissue of this recently that has some fresh remixes:

Nice tribute to When Belgium Ruled the World Era here from Justice

The Belgian Touch you could call it

Except the track abruptly wusses out about half way through and turns into filmic E-Z listening

Still the first half has the doom-blare fanfares

Even the title "Generator" is a perfect sort of 1990-91, Frank de Wulfy sort of title.

One of my fave 12s from 2015 (it will become obvious why I posted it here... massively popular Belgian early 90s tune slowed down and distorted):

The same guy that has done some weird takes on New Beat with some of his Novo Line stuff - The digital version of his Dyad album also has he tracks at 33 and 45 like as if new beat had gone in the opposite direction

I was never big on them (maybe it was because they shared numbers with another group, for one reason), but a lot of people quite liked them:
