Why do the Dumbo-Crap Septics think Biden still has his marbles together?
It's good to have you back, B6.Why do the Dumbo-Crap Septics think Biden still has his marbles together?
I might as well. The whole thing strikes me as an epiphenomenal farce. For the last two elections I only really voted out of a quaint sense of obligation, but even that is beginning to crumble.i boycotted the election debate. maybe i will boycott the election too
Are you registered to vote where you're currently living, or where you grew up?I might as well. The whole thing strikes me as an epiphenomenal farce. For the last two elections I only really voted out of a quaint sense of obligation, but even that is beginning to crumble.
Plus if Biden wins then there will be a chance to vote for a (hopefully!) slightly more exciting, or at least less doddery, Democratic candidate in 2028. Whereas I'm doubtful if that election will be much more than an "election" if Trump wins again in November.I'd vote for Biden if I were American. He's fucked, but he'll at least be surrounded by more normal people steering the ship than Trump will be. You vote Biden and you get bog standard DC liberals. You vote Trump and you get the unhinged man himself, plus all the bigoted lunatics willing to work with him.
Gareth Southgate should be freewho is replacing biden when he drops dead? can happen any moment now
Yeah I'm registered to vote in LA, but I'm not registered within a particular party. Are you registered to vote where you're currently living, or where you grew up?
The ass-backwards electoral college system unfortunately means it is basically pointless to vote (from the POV of the presidential election) if you live in a state like California or Wyoming that invariably votes one way or the other, regardless of whether you're supporting the side that always wins in that state or the side that always loses, so the election is always decided by a handful of key swing states. I mean, you know this of course...
To an extent the FPTP system we have in the UK suffers from the same problem, although to a much smaller degree, since we have 650 constituencies instead of 50 states, and that's for about 1/5th the population.
Yeah good pointPlus if Biden wins then there will be a chance to vote for a (hopefully!) slightly more exciting, or at least less doddery, Democratic candidate in 2028. Whereas I'm doubtful if that election will be much more than an "election" if Trump wins again in November.
He's done more for diversity in California than anyone: income diversity, habitation diversity, and drug addiction diversity.Gavin Newsom seems likely to be his electoral replacement.
jealousy does not look good on youStaggering to see the so-called most powerful nation on Earth being reduced to a couple of doddering old men struggling to debate. How has it come to this?
