Ultimately I don’t think jungle really works in skate videos (the tempo save for precise editing but also the drama of the music usually can’t be matched and overpowers the footage) but never heard dred bass in an edit so the novelty factor is something

I like it, but I think it works better in the London stuff like Palace than the American stuff. It makes sense for the music to be London music.

Was about to say maybe it's a tempo thing because of skateboarding being more about zen than adrenaline, but then you can easily hear 200+ bpm thrash and it works perfectly

I dunno I just dislike Palace as a brand and almost all brands and don’t respect skateboarders’ taste. They used to have cutting edge music taste pre-Web 2.0 but they are really dumb and I hate when they think they’ve caught on to things, its always really bait stuff, entry level selection

That Cardiel one was the first episode of Epicly Later’d iirc. Great memories of watching these and waiting for them to come out

You seen they've been doing new ones? They just did one on Puleo. He's into numerology and collects crap off the floor now.

Dill's terrible for that. I came across an interview a few years ago where he had all his books on the floor in the centre of the room and was going on about Kurt Vonnegut and how he'd read the beginning of Infinite Jest. "No one's ever finished it."

My roommate works for the same fabrication shop as Puleo and is on jobs with him all the time. I’ve yet to meet him but seen him biking around Ridgewood here and there. One of my all time faves for sure, been meaning to watch that new episode with him.

So this roommate was on a job recently, observing a guy carry a metal beam up a ladder, in a not so safe maneuver. The guy drops the beam and falls to his back from the ladder. Everyone rushes to his aid in shock, expressing their concern and checking if he’s alright. Only problem is, on his way down he totally knocked Puleo’s coffee out of his hands. According to my roommate, Bobby was inconsolable. “Dude, I just got here, came all this way with this coffee, and not just some fuckin deli coffee man, this is a fuckin $6 oatmilk latte, and this dweeb knocks it right out of my hand and it spills all over me? I’m at a job, waiting around with no work to do. I should have a fucking coffee in my hand. But no, because some guy can’t do his job right. This is fuckin bullshit, man.”
