i actually like the danny breaks remix a lot for a) the spooky descending sample at the beginning - it has a kind of sonic richness, and i like when samples are given room to just sort of babble like that, transposed up and down and cascading into each other; and b) the groove once things get going around 2:12 - there's something satisfying about the mass distribution of the drums, the contrast between the heavy, punchy kick and snare and the very light snare rolls, which almost feel like they're getting jostled around, excited into a kind of ripple or ricochet effect by the main drums.

the other ones people haven't voted for also have some great moments - the palpitating mentasm riff in the original, the switchup at 1:50 in the slipmaster j one... bad influence mix does nothing for me though

Agreed the danny breaks remix is stunning proper heart palpitation bebop darkside.

I think version needs to listen to it whilst downing a bottle of whiskey in afghanistan around taliban personnel. Then he will truly get it.
